Children can become acutely unwell and need to go to the emergency centre or hospital. They can also have less acute issues that nevertheless have a serious impact on their health and well-being. This may require a non-urgent paediatric assessment in an outpatient paediatric clinic.
If you feel your child may need to see a paediatrician, and your child is not acutely unwell, then discuss this with your GP or health professional. They can make a referral for a paediatric assessment if needed. Dr Bhatia can arrange to see you in his private clinics. Your GP can refer via Healthlink EDI ssbhatia or send by email to referrals@drsat.co.nz
Dr Bhatia will provide a comprehensive paediatric assessment, discuss his opinion with you and arrange follow up if needed.
A letter is then sent with the details to you and your GP, and other relevant persons.
Dr Bhatia can be contacted again for further advice and can arrange a phone or or zoom consultation if needed.
